Russia relies a great deal on localisedlocalized heat and power generation. For Impuls Industrial Boiler Plants, the opportunities for building or rebuilding large boiler houses that provides heat and power to communities, including remote industrial installations, represents a major growth market. Founded in 2002, the companyImpuls has pioneered development of modular, fully automated industrial boiler houses that don’tdo not require a human operator. A key reason for choosing EPLAN as the new design tool was the ability of the softwaresoftware’s ability to support electrical, process control and enclosure design on a shared platform. As a result, projects that typically took three months or more are now being completed in 5-6 weeks.

In recent years, NORD Drivesystems has been very active in the steel industry in China and India. NORD has supplied 2,500 geared motors to the Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation for a heavy plate mill in Pudong which produces, sheets for the ship building industry, amongst others.

The DMG-Portal Type DMU 600P milling machines have been designed to machine large components -up to 40 tons- at very high speed, dynamics and precision. Innovative drive systems are key contributing elements to this five axis system offering high versatility though a single setup. DMG works together with REDEX here. The European specialist in precision drives equips the X-, Y-, and C-axis with a TwinDrive rack and pinion drive system. REDEX precision drives are however also used in other drives axes and in the main milling spindle drive.
