Robust, hygienic light-weights: Aluminum drive components from NORD DRIVESYSTEMS
Bargteheide – NORD DRIVESYSTEMS uses the advantages of aluminum for many of its gear cases: the low weight, smooth surfaces, and the good thermal conductivity which enables low operating temperatures. The low weight is a benefit especially when the gearbox needs to be transported along with the application. Furthermore, as the material has a natural corrosion protection, the cases do not necessarily have to be painted. Aluminum models include NORDBLOC.1 helical gear units, two-stage helical bevel gear units, and SI and SMI worm gear units. Type SK 93....1 NORDBLOC.1 gearboxes and SMI worm gears, in particular, have excellent wash down characteristics.
