Kreon launches its new fastest and most versatile scanner Zephyr III
KREON has launched a new generation scanners based on more than 25 years of experience in industrial metrology.
Regardless of industrial sector or the measurement application, the new Zephyr III scans all kinds of parts in record time without impacting the precision of the mesh or obtained point cloud.
The Zephyr III is a top-of-the-range 3D scanner able to scan extremely complex parts at a high acquisition speed of 600,000 points/sec. Its broad laser line of 150 mm brings a significant increase in productivity, especially with large parts. Its blue laser consistently delivers optimum measuring quality, even on black or glossy parts that are considered difficult.
The Zephyr III has a quoted accuracy of 14 μm according to ISO 10360-8:2013, – Maximum size error on all measured points (translation mode).
The new versatile scanner can be integrated in measuring arm, CMM, robot, machine tool … etc. It is compatible with most CMMs on the market and works with the multiple orientation Renishaw PH10 indexing probe heads.
The scanner has the ability to connect a contact probe directly underneath, so that Zephyr III can scan and probe parts simultaneously in the same measuring range.
Main applications:
- Quality control. Compare your measurements with the nominal CAD of the part and create a 3D color mapping with the errors.
- Reverse engineering. It performs reverse engineering from the point cloud obtained (geometry and free-form surfaces) and transforms it into a native CAD model.
- 3d printing. Make detail parts in various materials with perfect data integration to any 3D printer
