Jumbo: More torque in less space

REDEX ANDANTEX has the pleasure to announce the new evolution of its DualDrive rack and pinion drive. This evolution features a more compact size while maintaining the outstanding performances that have made the DualDrive innovative concept a perfect solution for extreme machine tool high precision positioning demands.

This new drive doubles the available nominal torque of its predecessor, reaching values up to 15.000Nm-1 for the Size 5. This outstanding performance has been achieved by a new internal arrangement and ratio optimization of the gearbox. Thanks to this evolution, the Jumbo drive can even beat the nominal torque output values of the competition Size 6 planetary reducer.

Jumbo is based on the proven REDEX ANDATEX's technology. It's not a “dragster” but a lasting and reliable drive. Its output pinions are integral, meaning that they are mechanized directly on the axis. The oversized bearing arrangement is designed to support the pinion as close as possible to the force applied with only the thickness of the locknut separating the pinion from the output bearing.

This exclusive design ensures maximal stiffness in every direction. Furthermore, Jumbo rack and pinion drive systems are made up of 2 parallel mounted planetary servo reducers that are coupled electrically and which eliminates the backlash.

Instead of a flange which will be mounted thanks to screws, the Jumbo drive is equipped with splines. Since not a single screw is used in the transmission system, assembling errors are minimized and extreme total rigidity is achieved.
