Michelin, Argon Consulting and Sigfox France launch Safecube, a new real-time intercontinental tracking solution

Michelin, Argon Consulting and Sigfox France announce the creation of Safecube, which will commercialize a solution designed to locate shipments and track their transport conditions (temperature, humidity, shocks, opening...) in real time.

This solution will be based on Sigfox's technology and global 0G network. As Patrick Cason, General Manager of Sigfox France, points out: "Cost, energy efficiency and scalability have always been core to Sigfox's DNA. Thanks to our 0G network, Safecube will be the most competitive offer on the market."

With over 100 million container shipments each year and a 5 billion euros global turnover, the stakes are incredibly high. For Fabrice Bonneau, CEO of Argon: "From an industrial point of view, maritime flows are probably amongst the most complex and the least controlled within the supply chain. Some of the key challenges are poorly optimized routes, a lack of visibility and administrative complexity linked to the large number of actors in this space.

Having initiated the first experiments and the design of the solution with Michelin, we’re convinced that Safecube will play a key role in addressing these challenges and optimizing the intercontinental supply chain.

Safecube will be based in Lyon and will be led by Waël Cheaib, who was Director of Operations and Customer Experience at Uber France. This project is subject to the approval of the competent authorities in matters of merger control.
