The installation supplied by CIAT for the Meple (IKO Group) waterproofing systems production plant provides temperatures adjustable from 18 to 28 °C. This allows the plant to reduce discards, increase its productivity and gain in production flexibility.

The FLOWAY dual-flow air handling unit is a plug and play ventilation appliance designed to renew the air inside buildings by introducing outside fresh air, in accordance with the RT 2012 regulations. By optimizing the thermal cycle recovering heat from the extracted air and by using the new CIAT HEE (high energy efficiency) fans, FLOWAY reduces energy consumption by 40% compared with previous solutions. The Waterclean System – developed under licence from CALEFFI France’s ‘Carlier Meskel’ system and industrialized by CIAT – has won the Golden ENEO 2009 award at the Energy, Temperature Control & Water expo held in Lyon from 25-28 February. Waterclean is an innovative concept that protects users of sanitary water from the risk of Legionella, Pseudomona and other bacteria. It eliminates them when they are present in the water supply of buildings, or develop naturally in distribution networks. Waterclean System is the first solution on the market that takes into account the global problem of sanitary water when it involves both hot and cold water.

CIAT’s new air handling unit, Climaciat Air Compact, is only 40cm thick. This means it can easily be placed in very tight spaces – on either ceilings or walls. With pressures from 100 to 1000Pa, and airflow from 1500 to 6000 m3/h, the unit has hundreds of variants, made from standard components.

FREE COOLING is an optional module for AQUACIAT cooling units to reduce the consumption of energy in offices in the winter. Unlike previous solutions, FREE COOLING is totally integrated in the cooling unit and is delivered pre-configured and installed. Installers have simply to make a single electrical and hydraulic connection for the assembly. In relation to previous solutions, AQUACIAT FREE COOLING allows a gain of 25 to 40% of floor area. Intended for 185 to 485 kW AQUACIAT cooling units, it produces energy savings of 20 to 50% in relation to a conventional configuration with a single cooling unit.

With power ratings up to 50kw and the production of hot water at 65°C, the Aquaciat Caleo range is the first European solution for refurbishing large buildings, small hotels and light industries. Energy savings of around 50% are achievable in refurbishment, thanks to the heat pumps now available in these markets. Aquaciat Caleo allows the replacement of conventional heating, while keeping existing radiators, to manage the production of clean hot water or to heat swimming pools.
