The high-performance ROBA®-DS shaft couplings transmit the torque backlash-free and with high torsional rigidity. They compensate for shaft misalignment and are both wear- and maintenance-free. On the sizes up to 150 Newton meters, mayr® power transmission are going to extend its standard hubs for mounting the shafts by a radially divisible hub – for easy and fast installation, even in difficult ambient conditions.
The application of safety brakes in wind turbine pitch drives requires extremely conscientious dimensioning and precise knowledge of braking torque tolerances. If these prerequisites are fulfilled, high-quality brakes will work without requiring any maintenance across their entire service lifetime.
Most of the brake elements available on the market today work purely as clamping units. They are only designed to secure the axes at a standstill, and are not suitable for dynamic braking procedures. The ROBA®-linearstop, however, is a fully adequate safety brake according to the Trade Association testing requirements. It enables reliable braking of axes in motion.
In addition to numerous other innovations, mayr® power transmission is to present a large disengaging torque limiting clutch for torques of up to 280,000 Nm at the Hannover Trade Fair. This large clutch for heavy engineering is combined with curved tooth couplings for the connection of two shafts.
If there is a danger of falling loads on vertical axes in areas where personnel have to work, additional measures must be taken to minimise the risk of accidents. The Mauerstetten brake specialist mayr® power transmission has developed brake systems which are capable of providing safety in any critical situation occurring during vertical axes operation.
