Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division in the Americas (“Hexagon”) today announced the continued growth and expansion of its partnership with Bass Tool, a Houston-based leader in tooling, inspection, and metrology solutions. As a Value Added Reseller and Authorized Service Partner, Bass Tool represents Hexagon’s full metrology product line portfolio – from stationary measurement solutions to laser trackers and handheld scanners, metrology software and more – across South Texas and Southern Louisiana.
Hexagon and Bass Tool have been collaborating since early 2025 to deliver metrology solutions and localized technical support. The partnership has continued to scale as Bass Tool represents two key regions experiencing rapid industrial growth, fueled by a rise in aerospace, semiconductor, oil & gas and general manufacturing. With a focus on speed, service, and scalability, the partnership addresses long-standing gaps in the region – ensuring faster equipment deployment, shorter service lead times, and expert technical training for shops of all sizes.
“Bass Tool brings the technical strength and customer-first mindset we look for in a partner,” said Paul Rogers, President and CEO, Americas and Asia Pacific, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. “Their team understands manufacturing because they come from manufacturing – and that’s made all the difference in how quickly and successfully we’ve been able to grow our presence in this region. They don’t just sell equipment; they solve real-world problems for customers. That kind of credibility and hands-on expertise is invaluable as we continue to scale in high-growth markets.”
In addition to selling and supporting Hexagon metrology devices and software, Bass Tool also offers contract inspection services that allow smaller manufacturers to validate parts without owning a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). They also provide in-depth training, inspection programs and setup videos to help customers improve their quality assurance and measurement techniques. This hands-on approach builds loyalty and fosters long-term growth, especially among emerging aerospace suppliers who are required to leverage CMM technology.
The company recently released its 2025 Product Catalog to over 3,000 customers, featuring over 2,000 pages of products with 30+ pages dedicated to metrology. Their engineers bring decades of shop-floor experience, offering 2-3 days of free on-site support with every system sold and multiple weeks of training for complex implementations. Since partnering, Bass Tool has already seen customer growth stemming from these service commitments and expanded product offerings. Local manufacturers have experienced shorter service call lead times and delivery timelines. Bass Tool has also supported multiple industry events focused on metrology.
