Ranpak to showcase effective product protection and right-sized packaging at Scanpack

Since its establishment in 1964, Scanpack has been the leading exhibition and meeting place for the Scandinavian packaging industry. The event brings together domestic and international buyers and suppliers and attracts 400 exhibiting companies and almost 13,000 attendees.

At stand C01:20 Ranpak will showcase their latest sustainable and paper-based packaging innovations, including:

FillPak Trident Mini™
Ranpak will be giving live demonstrations of the new efficient, fast, and easy-to-use FillPak Trident Mini™ paper-based void fill solution at their stand. With shaped paper pads, it enables operators to pack faster while using up to 20% less paper.

Geami MV™
Ranpak will also be showing off the new Geami MV™ compact converter. Easy to use and highly efficient, it leverages the sustainable power of paper to wrap and is an environmentally responsible alternative to plastic bubble wrap. The Geami MV features a smart design that accommodates smaller paper rolls and the modular solution can fit into any packing environment.

PadPak Guardian®
Ranpak will also be demoing the PadPak Guardian® cushioning solution. A compact, high-speed paper-based protective packaging solution, this converter is designed for dispensing medium to heavy cushioning. It offers compatibility with a range of papers in both single and double-ply. It can fit in-line or within tight packing stations.

In addition to converters, Ranpak’s automated solutions enable highly efficient packaging operations that deliver unrivaled ROI. Samples of Ranpak’s solutions will also be showcased at the event, with a wide range of examples and informative video presentations demonstrating Ranpak’s automated end-of-line (EOL) packaging solutions on hand at booth C01:20. Visitors will see how the Cut’it!™ EVO height-reduction machine automatically reduces the height of cartons to match their highest point of filling with zero waste and then glues a lid securely in place. Automating this process introduces labor savings, flow optimization, an enhanced unboxing experience, shipping cost reduction, reduced material usage, and improved stock management.

Attendees will also learn how the Flap’it!™ 2D right-sizing solution ensures that small items like books, smartphones and accessories, games, spare-parts and other B2B and B2C electronics, are packed using the smallest amount of volume while minimizing void. It also offers outstanding product protection and fewer product returns thanks to integrated cushioning bumpers at box corners. Ranpak will be sharing free samples on their stand.

Additional benefits of packaging automation include effective nesting, packing with fewer touchpoints, and faster packing, which can help reduce the environmental footprint of logistics too – less space used on pallets reduces pressure on transportation. These unrivaled capabilities and more will be further explained by Ranpak’s expert team who will be on hand at booth C01:20 throughout the show.

“We are delighted to share, for the first time with the Swedish market, a number of systems and solutions that will help packaging operations improve their production efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.” said Bryan Boatner, Managing Director of Automation at Ranpak. “The uniquely developed capabilities empower increased delivery volumes, enhanced efficiency, streamlined warehousing, and elevated cost savings. And, as the solutions are paper based, operations can find themselves in a stronger position to respond to increased legislation, including the extended producer responsibility regulations that Sweden was the second country in the European Union to adopt.”
