“SeeGALE Card” is a card-type device that detects location information and opening status during product transportation.
SeeGALE Card
Kyocera Communication Systems Co., Ltd. announced the launch of a new addition to the “SeeGALE” lineup, an open-detection solution utilizing the IoT network “Sigfox”. “SeeGALE Card” is a reusable card-type device capable of detecting the location and opening status of products during transportation.
SeeGALE is an open-detection solution that provides end-to-end traceability and real-time monitoring of product shipments, from the point of dispatch to detection of any openings.
Until now, we have been providing the low-cost, single-use film-type device ‘SeeGALE Film’ starting from 300 yen as a device in the SeeGALE lineup. However, to meet a broader range of needs, we are now introducing the ‘SeeGALE Card,’ a reusable card-type device, as part of our product lineup.
SeeGALE Film is used for single-use purposes and is often employed in disposable packaging boxes. In contrast, SeeGALE Card is reusable, allowing it to be attached and utilized in shipping boxes, including plastic containers, for the transportation of products or components. With the addition of this new lineup, customers will now have the flexibility to choose the device that best suits their usage, product shipping requirements, and frequency of use.

Use Cases for SeeGALE
1. Inventory Management in Manufacturing
It allows for tracking of in-market inventory of our own products and consumer trends, enhancing the accuracy of production planning and demand forecasting. It is particularly useful for optimizing inventory levels, especially in cases of small quantities and a wide variety of long-tail products.
2. Transportation Management for High-Value Goods
In the distribution of high-value products such as pharmaceuticals, alcoholic beverages, and luxury brands, it enables confirmation of whether the products have been delivered unopened to their destination and whether they have been correctly opened at authorized shipping points, thereby improving the quality of the transportation process.
