Kelvin Huang, President of Delta Electronics Americas Region, said, "As we embark on this journey into the future of digital infrastructure, Delta leverages its unparalleled prowess in high-efficiency power systems and thermal management to develop solutions capable of enhancing the productivity and lowering the carbon footprint of next-generation data centers. With our ORV3 total solutions, we are not just shaping the data centers of tomorrow but ushering in a new era of smart cities."

Delta’s ORV3 total solutions encompass a wide array of advancements, including revolutionary Air-Assisted Liquid Cooling (AALC) technologies, a robust ORV3 rack, and a high-efficiency 18kW power shelf. Additionally, an extensive range of air and liquid cooling products meticulously tailored for the most demanding High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads will be featured. Notably, Delta Electronics will introduce high-performance Battery Backup Units (BBU) and Power Supply Units (PSU), as well as an exceptionally efficient 800G Ethernet Switch purpose-built for hyper-scale data centers.

The OCP Global Summit 2023 is one of the most prominent events in the open IT ecosystem development and will be held between October 17 and 19, 2023 in San Jose, California. Welcome to explore Delta’s solutions that redefine data center excellence, from innovative power systems to advanced cooling technologies, all designed to drive efficiency and performance in hyper-scale environments at the Delta Electronics Americas booth #B6.

Delta’s product highlights for the ORV3 solutions:

Energy-Efficient AALC Solution
Delta’s AALC solution features excellent heat dissipation, with thermal resistance 5 times lower than air cooling, thus maximizing cooling density up to 2.5x, with the power consumption rate less than 3%. Moreover, AALC provides significant CAPEX savings by eliminating the need for raised floors and piping infrastructure, and at the same time allows reuse of existing infrastructure components like racks and fan walls to optimizing resource utilization.

Robust ORV3 Rack
Delta’s ORV3 rack boasts a staggering 44OU or 48RU capacity and supports 3086lb (1400kg) of load with the added strength of two rack braces. This rack incorporates a blind-mated and touch-proofed busbar, ensuring seamless and secure connections. It will be featured alongside Delta’s ORV3 power shelves and a range of comprehensive products, including switches and CDUs, all tailored to the ORV3 rack.

Innovative ORv3 18kW Power Shelf
Delta’s 18kW power shelf, designed for the Open Rack version 3 (ORV3) 1 OU, 21-inch open rack standard, boasts a 6-slot chassis equipped with new 3kW power supply units. This power shelf offers a maximum 18kW power output or 15kW with 5+1 redundancy and achieves up to 97.5% ultra-high power conversion efficiency, meeting the surging power demands driven by technologies such as HPC and AI. It provides 48/50 Vdc output voltage instead of the conventional 12 Vdc, significantly reducing electricity distribution losses.

Comprehensive Cooling Solutions for HPC/AI Workloads
Delta’s broad range of air and liquid cooling products make up its breadth of cooling solutions tailored for HPC/AI workload. The product panel includes the latest cutting-edge 3D VC design that boasts a cooling capacity exceeding 1000W, a gear for AI workload, and the latest innovations in Cold Plate Loops tailored for AI server cooling. Additionally, the panel includes the new AI Server Fans, which deliver a 20% performance improvement while consuming 10% less power. Furthermore, Delta is excited to present the high-capacity Coolant Distribution Units (CDU) as part of liquid cooling portfolio, designed with redundancy and hot-swap function to achieve zero downtime deployment, with one being showcased live at the booth for an interactive experience. The latest EC Fan design that contributes to substantial energy savings in data center facility cooling will also be presented.

High-Performance Power Systems
Delta’s high-performance power systems represent the commitment to delivering flexible and cost-effective hyper-scale data center solutions. The power system with up to 97.5% efficiency of 5kW PSU and UL9540A-certified BBU system ensure reliability and significant OPEX and carbon savings. Moreover, Delta offers a 15kW modular UPS specifically designed for OCP requirements to facilitate quick GPU shifts. This UPS solution includes built-in redundancy and features lithium battery, outpacing competitors by saving up to 40% more space.

Optimized 800G Ethernet Switch for Hyper-Scale Data Centers
Delta’s 800G Ethernet Switch product line provides efficient and scalable designs to meet the high speed, low latency data center AI/ML fabric requirements. Building on the commitment to deliver optimized performance and flexibility, Delta’s 800G Switches have been tested with a series of optics module, AEC and ACC for the best interoperability. The products also provide DCI connectivity, targeting to support 800G ZR/ZR+ up to 30W. Delta has cooperated with vendors for both single mode and multi-mode LPO (linear drive optics), while plugged with 51.2T network system, it can save up to 30% of power compared to traditional optics. The 800G Ethernet Switch product line includes 25.6T and 51.2T switch, featuring configurations: 32x800G OSFP, 32x800G QSFP-DD, 64x800G OSFP, and 64x800G QSFP-DD. Delta will also be presenting a live demo of LPO with the 64x800G OSFP switch at the booth.
