Norgren, a global market leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control, is launching an innovative solenoid valve for commercial vehicle applications which offers enhanced reliability at a lower cost than many alternative systems.

INTERNATIONAL NORGREN TEAM DEVELOPS NEXT-GENERATION SOLENOID VALVE FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SECTOR
The ISIS solenoid valve has been developed by an international team spanning the UK, Germany, China and the US, and is designed to control a range of standard functions including the differential lock, engine brake and horn. With only nine components compared to the standard 20, ISIS reduces potential leak paths and is manufactured with a no-fault forward system, yet is able to withstand high levels of vibration and extreme environmental conditions.

Ten per cent lighter and 30 per cent smaller than typical chassis array valve systems, ISIS delivers Engineering Advantage by reducing the tubing, connectors and cab pass-through required, resulting in both cost and space savings.

“With more than 25 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle market, Norgren strives to utilise new materials and modern manufacturing techniques to deliver optimised product ranges,” explained David Owen of Norgren. “Designed for ease of assembly, ISIS is a chassis-mounted, high-performance solenoid valve featuring our ‘twist and lock’ stacking mechanism for easy expansion into a valve array, which represents excellent value.

“The valve features fewer components than standard models, all housed in one sealed, corrosion-resistant unit. Used by customers to control key functions such as the lift axle and engine braking, it’s an essential product available at a highly competitive price.”

The ISIS is suitable for both retro and OE-fitting, and is available as either a 12v or 24v model.
