Smart CIATControl
Specifically designed for buildings ranging from 500 m2 to 5,000 m2, Smart CIATControl optimises the operation of the Hysys water-source system in real time according to the heating or cooling needs of each installed comfort unit. It allows the management of three independent water loops and networks together all the components in the Hysys system via a touch screen. It feeds back information for remote reporting, runs time schedules and features optimisation functions to increase the system's energy efficiency by more than 40%. The home page provides an overview of the building's energy usage. CIAT exhibited the Smart CIATControl at the Interclima trade show, which held from 4 to 8 November in Paris.
With its touch screen and intuitive interface, Smart CIATControl is simpler and more cost-effective to install and use than an integrated BASThe patented programming algorithm developed by CIAT optimises HVAC systems according to variations in building occupancy thereby reducing energy consumption by more than 40%. First, the cooling/heating changeover on the water loop is performed automatically by calculating the primary needs of the building. Next, the restart and stop times are optimised in cooling mode and heating mode using a programming calculation of the building's inertia. Lastly, Smart CIATControl uses the 'Optimal Water®' function to optimise the water loop system in real time to ensure the best performance of the equipment.
Smart CIATControl also enables programmed building management. As a result, components can be set to run at specific times depending on occupancy levels, holidays and seasonal closings, and daily and weekly programs can be set. This programming is performed using four setpoint levels (comfort, standby, economy, frost protection/off) and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Smart CIATControl also manages setpoints for individual rooms or entire zones and can take temperature readings (water supply, room, outdoor, etc.) and consumption readings.
Particularly accessible, Smart CIATControl can be remotely controlled via its IP address. It also enables HVAC data to be exported using the BACnet protocol. Compared to a conventional BAS, Smart CIATControl's simple configuration tool makes integrating CIAT products extremely easy, saving time during commissioning and facilitating any changes required by space rearrangements.
Smart CIATControl comes in three sizes (depending on the number of units) and can network together up to 180 comfort units, three chillers and five air handling units.
