FMB – The Supplier Fair for Mechanical Engineering in Bad Salzuflen/Germany
The direct link to decision-makers in the mechanical engineering sector
How can a supplier reach the decision-makers of several hundred potential clients in a core region of European mechanical engineering in targeted fashion? By showcasing their products and services at the FMB Supplier Fair for Mechanical Engineering from 6th to 8th November 2013. This trade show, which is already being held for the ninth time, brings together some 400 exhibitors who develop, manufacture and supply everything required by a mechanical engineering company.Situated in the heart of the region Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL), Bad Salzuflen/Germany is a smart choice as a venue. Over 700 mechanical engineering companies (including major supply industries such as the electrical and electronics industry and automation technology) are established here in comparatively close proximity to each other. Last year, these companies achieved sales of approx. 19 billion euros with a total workforce of some 100,000 employees.
The fair was originally held for this region. However, visitors now come here from all over the northern half of Germany as well as from neighbouring countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark. A wide range of products await the visitors, since the fair covers the entire spectrum of the mechanical engineering supply industry, with a focus, among other things, on drive, control and handling technology. Service providers, for example from the fields of information technology, contract manufacturers and CAD/CAE, are also among the exhibitors at FMB.
In addition to global players such as Bosch Rexroth, Festo, Getriebebau Nord, igus, SEW Eurodrive, Sick, Siemens and Wittenstein, the list of exhibitors also includes numerous small- and medium-sized specialists. Small companies in particular benefit from being able to book a complete fair package comprising visitor advertising, furniture and catering at a reasonable price, which will not blow their sensitive advertising budgets.
Last year, 5,600 trade visitors attended the fair, two-thirds of whom occupy positions relevant to the decision-making process in their respective companies such as management, purchasing and engineering. Over 6,000 visitors are expected at the event in 2013.
Conditions at the site are attractive, not just for the exhibitors but for visitors, too. The Exhibition Centre is conveniently situated by the A2 motorway, admission and parking are free, as is the exhibitor directory. The supporting programme includes the congress “EnergyArena”, a presentation of best-practice examples concerning the efficient use of energy in industry.
