EPLAN Pro Panel added to Rockwell Automation’s Encompass Products
Rockwell Automation has added EPLAN’s Pro Panel to their approved Encompass products. EPLAN Software & Services has been an Encompass Partner since 2008. Rockwell Automation’s Encompass Products have to meet high quality and functionality criteria such as being developed by a reputable and sound company, that is committed to product and services quality, also committed to partnering with Rockwell Automation, and providing useful functionality not delivered by any of Rockwell’s current products.
EPLAN Pro Panel is an advanced E-CAD solution for panel layout control cabinet and switchgear cabinet layout including automated routing, virtual wiring and individual busbar-system-design in 3D, as well as the provision of ordering and purchase information, manufacturing and mounting documentation and the provision of NC data for production systems. EPLAN Pro Panel is based on the EPLAN Platform that utilizes the device concept with access to the EPLAN Data Portal. This engineering solution has been reviewed extensively by Rockwell and they found the synergies between their hardware products and EPLAN Pro Panel to be a critical piece in their solution partner’s success. EPLAN Electric P8 is already an encompass product also based on the EPLAN Platform technology that provides fully integrated CAD/CAE solutions for efficient, cost-effective design of electrical, fluid power, instrumentation and process control systems, and enclosures in 3D. Now their partners can create their electrical designs through the powerful database centric, object-orientated architecture and then use the bi-directional control data synchronization between Electric P8 and RSLogix™ 5000 and EPLAN Electric P8 via RSLogix™ Architect to allow the capability for hardware and tag synchronization between both the control system and electrical drawings. From this point, they will now benefit by using EPLAN Pro Panel to virtually design their panel layouts with 3D layout planning supported by EPLAN’s eTouch technology and can process these engineering data directly to manufacturing.
