Live broadcast of REDEX wire rolling mills at the next WIRE Düsseldorf trade show!
During the Wire 2012 exhibition, REDEX will welcome visitors to its booth for a live video broadcast showing the production of flat copper and aluminum wires on rolling mills which are waiting for delivery in its main factory.
This event will occur every day at 4PM and is designed to offer interactivity between the booth and the factory team.
Guests will benefit from a live display of the rolling mills during the wire processing at full speed. On the control display clone of the machine, they will be able to watch and to interact with all operational data: parameters settings, the real-time measurements, the production reports, etc. and to see the result on the real rolling mills.
Technicians will be available to answer questions both from the factory and on the booth.
A video of the set-up and manufacturingwill be presented which will demonstrate REDEX’s high skills in control systems but also in the remote monitoring capabilities used for both diagnostic and maintenance.
It will be a very instructive event, enabling to REDEX to share its state-of-the-art technologies and know-how.
A world leader for the production of Wire Rolling Mills
REDEX confirms its position as world leader, especially in the segment of rolling mills specifically dedicated to the manufacturing of flat Magnet Wire (copper and aluminum), a growing market. Boosted by the vastnew equipment and energy infrastructure upgrading projects in recent years, this market remains very dynamic worldwide.
After finishing and insulating, the precision flat wires which are put in shape on equipment from REDEX become high performance electrical conductors used for many applications including coils for power transformers and wind mill generators and traction motors for high speed trains, etc.
The work of REDEX' Rolling Mills consists in continuous transformation (shaping and cold calibration) of copper rodsvia continuous casting, into flat wire whose dimensional characteristics must be guaranteed within a tolerance of some microns.
Production speeds on these machines commonly reach 10 m/s, and such accuracy can't be achieved without highly specific optimization of the mechanical structure of the rolling mills and from the dynamic control systems for the shaping and cold calibration.
In addition, it benefits from automated operation based on the most innovative technologies (industrial PCs, PLCs, fieldbus, etc.), and from real-time monitoring specifically developed by REDEX to optimize performances (MOSIP firmware).
The full control of these technologies allows the company to ensure its customers the best return on investment (ROI) on the market.
Always one step ahead with high-tech OEM
REDEX’s leadership in the world market of rolling mills relies on over 50 years of experience and ambitious investments in research and development (an average of 8% of the yearly turnover is spent in R & D).
To develop these highly sophisticated production solutions, the company relies on over 30 engineers specializing in mechanical, electrical and industrial computers, etc., continuously present in its two technical offices.
In its manufacturing workshops, REDEX incorporates all the skills and tools that allow machines to ensure the total control of quality for all high precision mechanical components that are used in the composition of its rolling mills. Over the past 5 years, more than 15 million EUR were invested in CAD-CAMsolutions and in the production and industrial reorganization of its workshops. An average of over 5000 hours of training is completed by its employees each year to enable them to fully manage the most modern design and manufacturing tools.
An organization that helps ensure perfect control of the highly shortened deliveries offered to all of its customers worldwide.
