New Industrial Investment from REDEX ANDANTEX

REDEX has just opened its new high precision gearing production factory in Senonches (Eure-et-Loire).

New Industrial Investment from REDEX ANDANTEX
REDEX has invested almost €10bn in modernising its company in Senonches to make it a site of excellence (Gear Center) in the field of cutting, finishing and cylindrical gear control (straight or helical) and spiro-conics. The production methods used are most often unique in France (for example: HP-GS hard cutting of spiro-conics or superfinishing of inner teeth). The technologies used have their origin in the aeronautical sector or motor racing. These ultramodern machines, mostly of Swiss origin, would be nothing without the tools and production methods developed specifically by REDEX. These tools are vital for the running of the machines account for up to 40% of the investment cost.

The factory receiving these machines is of course air-conditioned and appears like a real "clean room", which is vital for the industrial processing of gears where precision is required to the order of a micron, which is a tenth the thickness of a hair! These gears are the main part in speed reducers and gear boxes fitted in large manufacturers (such as DMG, Mazak, Mitsubishi) high quality machine tools and REDEX is one of the key suppliers. The quality in the finishing of the gears allows transmissions to be made easily, silently and compactly: 3 qualities which differentiate REDEX products from those of our competitors.

This "Gear Center" has been developed in less than 5 years by drawing the internal resources of the REDEX group as well as the centres of excellence in mechanical training of the INSA of Lyon and Rouen.

Automation, management of flow and operating methods complete the range of methods used in a factory measuring more than 5000m2, employing 50 people and carrying out a trade volume of nearly €7bn. From 2012, the Senonches building, in addition to the internal REDEX group trade, will be able to develop subcontracted trade at high added value destined mainly for the aeronautical sector.

REDEX group, specialist in precision mechanics for tool machines and the steel industry has 2 factories in the Centre region of France: Senonches (Eure-et-Loire) and Ferrières (Loiret). It has a turnover of almost €50bn and employs 320 people throughout the world, with more than 250 in France where all the products with 90% for export.
