Comau and Microsoft discuss digital transformation
Comau, a leading global company specialized in advanced industrial automation products and solutions, has recently visited the Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond (Washington, US) to discuss Microsoft's IoT strategy and explore potential partnerships between the two companies.
The Comau delegation, headed by Maurizio Cremonini, presented the skills, innovative technologies and consolidated experience that are driving its leadership in digital manufacturing, while Microsoft exposed its approach to build upon its trusted IoT and cloud computing platforms. More specifically, the companies focused on the following key elements:
- Where to use native Azure IoT components and opportunities to combine them with other platforms used by Comau
- Implementing an initial Proof of Technology framework
- Comau validation of architectural decisions during the Proof of Business phase
The companies also explored their experiences with Digital Transformation by examining different real-world case scenarios. To this end, Comau has been invited to display some of its enabling technologies to an immersive robotic showcase on the Redmond campus around industry innovation. Finally, time was dedicated to discussing future E-Mobility needs.
