preLink^® PCB delivers preLink^® Ethernet connection technology directly to the circuit board via the housing wall. To achieve this, HARTING is extending its preLink cabling system in spring 2018. In this context, the cabling system represents means a truly universal solution for IT, building automation and industry. The ideal solution for every scenario. This features new M12 cable sockets, which can also be used as wall ducts, and a circuit board socket that can accomodate the connector block – the centrepiece of the preLink system – directly.

In combination with the right materials, sunbeams can work wonders: they clean building facades and decompose pollutants from the air or in the water. The magic word is photocatalysis. In practice, though, the effectiveness of this „miracle cure“ fluctuates greatly, depending on the material used and the environmental factors. With a new measuring device, researchers now want to determine the photocatalytic effectiveness of surfaces more accurately and quickly, thereby increasing efficiency.

For this project, HARTING combines the robust M12 interface with the clever preLink^® connection technology. In the spring of 2018, HARTING expanded its preLink^® cabling system with D- and x-coded M12 sockets for this project. The modular sockets can be used both as a free-flying cable coupling, but also as a robust wall bushing.
