New Generation of Time-of-Flight Sensors with wintec and Display

Time-of-flight sensors with wintec impress with their exceptional reception sensitivity, a reproducibility of only 3 mm and a high ambient light safety of up to 100,000 lux. With the P1PY2 series, the laser sensors have now been supplemented with a clearly visible OLED display with clear menu navigation. This makes it easy to adjust sensor settings, while the display ensures clear readability of measurement data under various operating conditions. The dynamic jump detection function reliably detects flat objects even on uneven surfaces and ensures accurate piece counting. In addition to the distance, ToF sensors also evaluate the light intensity reflected by the object surface. As a result, even the finest contrast differences can be detected, ensuring precise part inspection. The integrated speed measurement enables contactless and wear-free measurement of the speed of moving objects.

New Model Series Impresses in Terms of Connectivity
Thanks to the weCon app, time-of-flight sensors can now also be set and data transferred on the go. The Bluetooth functionality allows wireless on-site configuration, which is particularly beneficial when sensors are difficult to access or installed in large numbers. This feature significantly simplifies and speeds up the parameterization of the individual distance sensors. A high-performance IO-Link interface with COM3 ensures an extremely high transmission speed of process data.

Even Larger Working Range with Reflector-Based Variant
By using a reflector, the P1PX2 series does not detect natural objects, but only delivers measurement results from a reflector mounted on it. Other objects are hidden by this operational principle. This feature makes the P1PX2 distance sensor particularly suitable for position determination over long distances of up to 100 meters, for example for collision protection in crane installations or the positioning of overhead tracks.

The Highlights at a Glance:
  • Intuitive operating concept thanks to OLED display, Bluetooth connectivity and teach-in
  • Three innovative features: Dynamic jump detection, intensity evaluation, integrated speed measurement
  • Large working range from 10 meters to 100 meters when using the reflector-based P1PX2 variant
  • High insensitivity to ambient light of up to 100,000 lux
  • Reproducibility as low as 3 mm
  • Fine laser beam with eye-safe laser class 1
  • Integrated IO-Link interface with COM3
