PILZ presents Safe small controller PNOZmulti 2 with new input and output modules for decentralised periphery
Both new modules have either four 5-pin or two 5-pin and two 8-pin M12 plug-in connectors, via which they are installed directly on the machine.

The new input/output modules with protection type IP67 enable faster commissioning, as there is no longer a need for complex cable routing from the field to the control cabinet. Users benefit from lower costs for expansions and commissioning. Modular machine concepts are easy to implement.
Equipped for both “standard” and special applications
The two new modules are resistant to dirt and water. As a result they can also be used in rugged environments. The new versions with stainless steel screw connection are suitable for use in the food industry, for example. Users select the required PDP67 modules in the software tool PNOZmulti Configurator and then configure their own individual safety circuit. E-STOPs, safety gate switches, light curtains, safety locking devices or even valves can be monitored, for example.
Quick, easy expansion of modular production plants
Up to four of the new modules can be connected to the safe configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2 via the link module PNOZ m EF PDP-Link. Up to four sensors and actuators can be safely monitored in the field with one PDP67 module. Up to 64 can be monitored in total. As a result, users have the flexibility to expand their decentralised periphery as needed. Four safe semiconductor outputs are also available for the new modules. These can be used to connect safe sensor technology directly. With standardised M12 connections, both modules ensure high flexibility when wiring modular production plants. As a result, the costs when expanding and commissioning modular production plants can be reduced.
Flexible connection for decentralised periphery
The new module PDP67 F 8DI4DO 5/5 ION offers eight safe inputs and also four safe semiconductor outputs, which can be configured as standard, test pulse or 24 V outputs. Its application is more flexible as a result. For example, the E-STOP pushbuttons PITestop, the coded safety gate switches PSENcode or the safety light curtains PSENopt II from Pilz can be connected directly via four 5-pin M12 plug-in connectors.
The second new module PDP67 F 10DI4DO 5/8 ION provides two 5-pin and two 8-pin M12 plug-in connectors. The Pilz safety locking devices PSENmlock or PSENmlock mini can now be connected directly via the two 8-pin plug-in connectors. In addition, PSENmlock safety locking devices can be connected in series, so that only one port needs to be used.
