Surge Protection for Fibreoptic Routers
New on the Conrad Sourcing Platform: the DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I by Phoenix Contact protects all routers perfectly – even at high transfer rates.
Snaps on DIN rails or into perfboards with a flick of the wrist: the DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I surge protector by Phoenix Contact.
The roll-out of the fibreoptic network is in full swing. However, when it comes to internet and telecom connections in residential buildings and on commercial premises, copper wiring is still very common. This means that the connected routers are constantly exposed to overvoltage surges caused by lightning and power lines that run alongside. The DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I by Phoenix Contact is now available on the Conrad Sourcing Platform. It reliably protects these devices that are vital for an uninterrupted and fast internet connection.
Full Protection Quickly Installed
The DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I protects the connected routers around the clock. No more worrying about sensitive technology during thunderstorms and over-complicated installation. The Phoenix Contract surge protector can be snapped on DIN rails or fitted into meter boxes with the flick of the wrist. Alternatively, it can be fitted to a wall using screws. And what’s really clever: a combination of push-in terminals and RJ45 sockets enables a versatile and user-friendly installation
No Interference with Data Transmission
Unlike current surge protectors that are of limited use at high transfer rates, the DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I does not interfere with the signals that passing through it. This has been confirmed by VDSL, Vectoring VDSL, Super-Vectoring VDSL (SVVDSL) und G.fast tests carried out by Deutsche Telekom. Moreover, a built-in status indicator shows whether the device works properly.
Protection Against Incorrect Installation and Overload
The DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I comes with an integrated disconnector and an electric current limiter that bring excessive or unwanted voltage surges down to harmless levels. The DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I can even withstand a power-cross i.e. mains voltage being accidentally fed into phone lines outside a building, protecting both itself and the connected router in the process.
