Milan, September 8th, 2015 - "The invisible reveals: when technology meets art", is the title of the exhibition that will be held as part of the Expo schedule in the city, from 1 to 7 October 2015 in the Hall of Columns of the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. The exhibition is an initiative of the Bianchi Group (an Italian company with a presence throughout Europe, leader in industrial distribution and specialized in power transmission) and NSK (a Japanese multinational among the most important world manufacturers in the field of rolling bearings and of motion & control), in co-operation with the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.

The exhibition itinerary, included in the ticket to the Museum, shows some of the best known works of Maestro Arnaldo Pomodoro as the Spheres, the Wheels and the Bronze Columns alongside some real "jewels" of industrial production such as rolling bearings, ball screws and linear systems of high and very high precision. These elements are hidden within large industrial machinery, invisible to most, but essential for the production and maintenance in many vital sectors of our economy; an important example is the food industry, central theme of Expo Milano 2015.

The visitor will be welcomed into the Hall of Columns of the Museum in Milan by a spectacular wave where the works of Arnaldo Pomodoro will fluctuate along with industrial components in a unique and original union between art and technology. The exhibition was curated by prof. Marco Meneguzzo, art critic and professor at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, while the design of the exhibition was conceived by Dialmo Ferrari. The left aisle of the Hall of Columns, however, will see the presence of five works created by just as many students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, selected and coordinated by prof. Giampiero Moioli and prof. Stefania Albertini, Sculpture academics at the Milan University. The young artists (Simone Masetto Maghe, Gianmario Plebani, Silvia Maffioli, Gabriella Paloschi, Federica Zianni) freely inspired by the theme "The invisible reveals," realized the sculptures using NSK industrial components.

The more technological part of the exhibition is entrusted to six thematic areas, each dedicated to an industrial application in the food industry. A real journey in the processes of transformation of some foods such as fruit, bread, ice cream, salami, olive oil and pasta where various industrial components of high quality "quietly" work in an efficient and sustainable way to create products essential to our daily diet. In this section of the exhibition will be on display also some equipment where components by NSK - one of the most important partners of the Bianchi Group in Italy - are being used. They are supplied by Bianchi Industrial, operating company of the Group for the domestic market.

"Technology can approach art only when materials and manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards and, of course, when the origin of the product is guaranteed,” said Alberto Bianchi, president and CEO of Bianchi Group, a benchmark company in the industrial distribution industry specialized in Italy and Europe. “We are honored to put our name and the name of NSK on this occasion alongside an excellence of the Italian genius as Maestro Arnaldo Pomodoro, a true ambassador of a successful Made in Italy, whose creations are exhibited all over the world. "

"This exhibition - commented Elio Uslenghi, CEO of NSK Italy - represents an important opportunity to bring the public closer to the world of industrial components, a sector we know very well globally and where we are involved every day in offering our partners with high quality and high technology components. They are essential components to ensure efficient and above all sustainable production processes, i.e. processes able to reduce the environmental impact and limit energy consumption. The food industry, a key sector for the economy of our country - concluded Uslenghi - today faces a number of challenges that only the use of original and tested products lets you afford."
