EUROCHAIN VR, VERLINDE's new range of electric chain hoists, has been widened to include the Stainless Steel model designed for food industry applications. Chain and hook made of stainless steel and motor tropicalized, it is offered with numerous options specific to the market, such as food grade biodegradable grease or an ATEX compliant version, and can handle loads from 63 to 1250 kg. With its new, entirely ergonomic design, EUROCHAIN VR offers numerous innovations ensuring best safety levels and facilitating maintenance.
EUROCHAIN VR Stainless Steel hoist
The EUROCHAIN VR is designed to ensure maximum user safety. The standard version is fitted with a new hoist load wheel concept with intermediate teeth for the drive chain, 2 lifting speeds, a Start/Stop palm button on the control box, a torque limiter, a hoist disc brake, a very low voltage control system (48V), a variable speed travel motor, an electric safety limit switch for high and low positions, and it complies with the EC machinery directive.
EUROCHAIN VR also boosts productivity. All models offer a wide range of speeds, 25% faster than that of the previous generation. Furthermore, the standard version of the hoist motor is two-speed providing more flexible operability.
In the food industry version, EUROCHAIN VR Stainless Steel is fitted with a stainless steel hoisting chain. Its standard lifting height is 3 m and its watertight motor protection IP 55. The hoist motor is thermally protected and to ensure serviceability in regions with extremes of temperature (from -40°C to 70°C) and high moisture levels (to 95%) it is tropically protected. It is equipped with 2 buttons pendant for hook suspended hoist or manual trolley and 4 buttons pendant for hoist with electric trolley. It is compatible with the following power supplies: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 415V/3Ph/50 Hz ou 460V/3 Ph/60 Hz.
Lubricated for life to reduce maintenance, the EUROCHAIN VR hoist gear reducer was designed for very long operating periods of up to 3200 hours. High precision machining on the gear trains, moreover, ensures a very low noise pollution level when running. The clutch system is easy of access for occasional maintenance operations and its location in the gear box ensures the load is securely held by the brake whatever the operating conditions of the equipment.
Multiple specific options for food industry applications are available: stainless steel lifting hook, white paint, NSF H1 food grade biodegradable grease for the gear reducer, the travel trolley and for the hoisting chain, and the travel trolley can be fitted with stainless steel wheels. ATEX compliant Zone 1, EEx, and ATEX compliant Zone 22 versions of EUROCHAIN VR Stainless Steel are available together with an IP66 insulation class version. It can be fitted with a wall mounted control box (to replace the button box), a radio remote control or a travel trolley (push or electric).
