New RF BF 74: no cables, no batteries
New wireless controls versatile thanks to their modular design
Product photo: Command devices RF BF 74At the Hanover Fair 2014, the steute business field Wireless has presented a new series of controls using wireless technology.
Our new RF BF 74 devices are completely modular in design. Switching inserts and differently coloured types of push-button caps with inscription can all be combined with various push-buttons, key switches and rocker switches. Users can select housing versions for one, two or three switches. And if more than three control elements are required, larger housings are also available.
These different options create flexibility throughout industrial technology and building automation. And all without the need for power cables, signal lines or batteries.
Switching signals are transmitted at 868 or 915 MHz via the tried-and-tested sWave technology developed by steute. This technology guarantees high transmission reliability and ranges of up to 60 m indoors and 700 m outdoors. Power is supplied by an energy generator which has been improved and reduced in size yet again. It transforms the kinetic energy released on actuating the plunger into electrical energy. This means that the user is able to enjoy all the advantages of wireless technology without having to worry about battery charge or operational status.
