HMS Industrial Networks AB
HMS distributes IXXAT products in the Nordic countries
HMS Industrial Networks takes over sales and support of IXXAT products for machine control and safety in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
In early 2013, HMS Industrial Networks acquired German IXXAT Automation GmbH, further expanding the world-leading group within industrial communication. Since HMS is a Swedish-based company with a long track-record of selling industrial communication solutions on the Nordic markets, HMS now takes over the sales, support and distribution of the IXXAT products in the Nordic countries. This was previously handled by a distributor.Market-leading CAN connectivity products
IXXAT products have long been market-leading within communication solutions for machines, safety and automotive – and have been especially successful within the central European CAN market. The IXXAT offering includes CAN PC Interfaces which enable CAN network access for control and analysis applications. It also includes repeaters, bridges, IO modules and controllers for EtherCAT, POWERLINK or CAN-based applications. Furthermore, IXXAT products are pioneering the market when it comes to solutions for functional safety related to industrial communication.
The distribution of IXXAT products in the Nordic countries was previously handled by a third-party distributor, but given HMS’s strong presence in the area, HMS has decided to sell directly to customers in the Nordic countries, which means that sales and support of IXXAT products will now be handled by the HMS Nordic Sales Organization.
“The merger of IXXAT into HMS has been very successful and it is only logical for HMS to now resell the IXXAT products in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland” says Peter Greenfort, International Sales Manager at HMS. “This will be a great advantage for IXXAT users in the Nordic countries as they will now have backing from the HMS worldwide organization and direct access to the head office in Halmstad, Sweden. It will also enable them to further expand their industrial communication solutions through HMS’s Anybus and Netbiter offerings,” concludes Peter Greenfort.
The first market event where HMS will display the IXXAT products will be a seminar series to take place in the spring of 2014.
