Pioneers wanted: Swiss sensor manufacturer opens R&D center in Brno
With the Baumer Group, a global player in sensor technology is expanding its operations to the Czech Republic and offering committed engineers some interesting career opportunities. To expand its research and development activities on an international scale, the Swiss company has opened a new Development Center in Brno. Currently Baumer is looking for several test and software engineers for the new location.
The Baumer Group is leading at international level in the development and production of sensors, encoders, measuring instruments as well as components for automatic image processing. As an owner-managed family business, it has been on the market for 60 years and employs about 2,500 staff worldwide in 36 subsidiaries and 18 countries. The company headquarters is located in Frauenfeld in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. In recent years, Baumer has regularly been commended as a "Top Employer" in Switzerland.The new Development Center in Brno will play a key role in the assurance of Baumer's high quality standards in the future. For this purpose, the company is looking for test engineers who will develop concepts for efficient and automated serial production or prototype testing. Baumer will also hire software engineers who will develop all necessary embedded software and support the implementation and performance of tests. Apart from sound education and training and at least some initial professional experience, the new engineers should also have a fluent command of English and possibly German.
The director of the Baumer Development Center in Brno, Martin Neumeister, promises exciting pioneering work with an international focus: "We are going to build up a committed team here which shares our passion for sensors and will add another chapter to the Baumer success story."
The number of staff required for the first three years is about 20 to 30 engineers. These new engineers will cooperate closely with the R&D team in Frauenfeld. Therefore the initial training phase will include a period of residence lasting several weeks at the headquarters in Switzerland.
