Updated version of Copadata straton 9.4 hits the market

We looked at our customer’s needs and decided to develop new tools allowing them to work easily and able to adapt to all of their needs. By making this choice, we hope that each straton user can fully use their skills along with straton performances and thus optimize their automation projects from the simplest to the most complex.

Security for energy protocols
The drivers and configurators for DNP3 and IEC 60870 now include support of TLS for protocol encryption and authentication.

Profinet controller alarms

When an application is configured for Profinet Controller exchanges, it is now possible to perceive and customize the way Profinet alarms are managed. Some new function blocks are available for the application to catch received alarms and define how to acknowledge them. Transparent use with default acknowledgment by the driver is still possible.

Simplified interface for first users
Some new features are introduced to simplify the editor interface for first-time users. A more modern and intuitive "start page" provides the most useful shortcuts to get started. With the "Tools/Customize" command, some feature sets can be shown or hidden to match the most suitable interface and user experience and to create a customized workspace.

On line programming with scripts
straton 9.4 allows you to import and execute scripts created from a WEB tool to make simple modifications to your applications. You can quickly make changes remotely without having to go through the straton Editor to edit, compile, and re-download the whole application to the runtime. Scripts can perform simple logical and mathematical operations; it also has access to a limited set of variables configured in the IEC 61131-3 application.
