HURON
HURON opens an office in Istanbul
HURON, the well-known machine tool manufacturer, has been present in Turkey for more than 25 years. Its worldwide leadership in the field of high speed machining and its commercial success in that country quite naturally led the company to open its own office in Istanbul to consolidate its local relations more closely. Huron will be present at the MAKTEK show in Istanbul, from 2 to 7 October 2012, Hall 5 / Stand 502 and Hall 3 / Stand 311A.
HURON is established in the heart of Europe, in Strasbourg, France, and it supplies vertical machining centres with a reputation for precision and reliability. They feature state-of-the-art technologies, and they range from entry-level units to very large milling centres providing high-quality technical services.Huron's strength lies in its collaboration with its local partner, TEKNIKEL, which has brought considerable commercial success. "TEKNIKEL shares our passion for machine tools. The sales staff have made an excellent job of putting across our know-how among the many customers in the mould-making industry, and also in aeronautics. It is quite natural for Huron to see growth in a country where machine tool consumption rose by almost 50% between 2010 and 2011, and that imports over 80% of its demand" said Dominique Lutz, Managing Director of HURON Turkey.
"In Turkey, there is a strong potential market in the aeronautics, mould-making and automotive fields. We have been able to provide high-productivity solutions on these markets, while meeting the necessary criteria as to quality and surface state when machining very complex high-tech parts. The requirements covering aeronautics parts, for example, are very stringent. Our machines are fully able to meet such stringent requirements. Customers like Tritech in Great Britain or TAI in Turkey have been able to make good use of our skills, covering the machines and the machining processes alike."
"Our presence in Turkey and our wide product range also enable us to provide solutions in industrial fields where we have not yet established a foothold."
To underpin its growth, HURON is participating in the upcoming MAKTEK show. Huron will be presenting the latest technologies and machining process solutions there. "The show will enable us to assess the market and mark the beginnings of a great adventure" said Dominique Lutz.
