norelem helps manufacturers extend tool life with the addition of high-pressure nozzles

World-leading manufacturer and supplier of mechanical engineering components norelem, has added LOC-LINE® high-pressure nozzles to its range.

The nozzles enable coolant to be applied accurately to points of contact within tooling equipment in order to reduce damage caused by excessive heat and friction.

With diameters ranging from 1.6mm to 4.1mm and lengths of 0mm to 31.8mm, the new nozzles’ compact designs make them ideal for installation in tight spaces such as CNC machines. Adding to ease of installation, the components’ can be rotated through 360° and flow directions adjusted without the need for unscrewing the nozzle entirely.

Able to withstand extreme working pressures of up to 70 bar/1015.26 psi, the LOC-LINE® nozzles are available in two designs. The first variant of nozzles, Form A, has a vertical swivel range of up to 72° and are suitable for use in tight spaces. Form B variants have a vertical swivel range of up to 110° and are therefore suitable for applications where the jet has to be directed below the nozzle position.

Both nozzle types are available with diameters of 1.6mm, 2.2mm, 3.0mm or 4.1mm and with a length of 0mm, 6.4mm, 12.7mm, and 31.8mm. At 0mm, the nozzle is flush with the housing.
The high-pressure nozzles are suitable for use in temperatures up to 50°C. They are also resistant to a wide variety of chemicals and fluids, including acetone, alcohol, ethyl, grease, oil, commercially available dishwashing detergent, petrol, paint, solvents and sodium hydroxide.

Marcus Schneck, CEO at norelem comments: “We have been supplying LOC-LINE® hoses since 2014 and they have proven to be hugely popular for machinists requiring pinpoint accuracy when deploying coolant.

“The effective application of coolant is crucial for manufacturers looking to achieve longer tool life, reduced scrap levels and a higher quality of work. We are confident the new high-pressure nozzles will help machinists to hit these targets.”
