SK 225E and SK 235E

The SK 200E family of economical decentralised frequency inverters has been expanded with two new models, SK 225E and SK 235E, featuring onboard AS Interface support. In addition to creating a drive system that is especially attractive in economic terms, this interface makes life easier at the I/O level for users of large-scale installation by simplifying cabling.

SK 225E and SK 235E
SK 200E frequency inverters are designed to be mounted directly on the motor terminal box of gearmotor to create a fully integrated drive unit for field use. The new SK 225E and SK 235E models support version 2.4 of the AS Interface protocol with cyclic 4E/4A data exchange. In addition, with the ‘Safe Stop’ function in accordance with EN 954-1 or EN 13849-1 (maximum capability: safety category 4, stop categories 0 and 1) the SK 235E can provide standard-compliant motor restart protection without power disconnection.

As with all the frequency inverters of the SK 200E family, the new additions provide extensive basic functions, such as sensorless current-vector control, an integrated brake chopper, and a control unit for electromagnetic braking. The practically oriented features of these frequency inverters also include signal processing for incremental transducers and integrated POSICON positioning control. They are easy to program and use. The plug-in EEPROM module enables fast, easy exchange of configured parameter sets with other units of the same type. Despite being clearly aimed at cost-sensitive applications, these units are not limited to basic functions, but instead provide the same broad range of functions as the proven cabinet-model frequency inverters in the SK 500E family. This means that in some cases SK 200E systems can be used throughout a facility, even in applications that place relatively severe demands on the performance spectrum, which makes operation easier for users thanks to uniform configuration characteristics.

The SK 200E's Power range is 0,25kW - 7,5kW (IP55). All product versions have the same appearance, enabling uniform operation and handling. Furthermore, devices and optional external technology units such as bus or I/O systems can be linked via an integrated system bus. This provides varied facilities for diagnosis in the entire field area.

With this extended range, it is now very convenient to implement an economical decentralized system. The features and application areas are described in more detail at the dedicated www.sk200e.com website.
