Lockheed Martin, PG&E Corporation, Salesforce and Wells Fargo have launched EMBERPOINT, a newly formed venture focused on advancing wildfire prevention, detection and response across the United States.

EMBERPOINT is designed as a purpose-built platform that integrates artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and unified command-and-control technologies to support earlier wildfire detection, faster response times and improved coordination among emergency responders, utilities and public agencies. The venture aims to make advanced wildfire technologies available without requiring agencies to independently develop or fund complex systems.

The platform combines multiple technology layers into a single operational framework. Lockheed Martin contributes predictive sensing, early detection capabilities and autonomous response technologies adapted from aerospace and defense applications. These systems are intended to support rapid identification of ignition events and enable early-stage intervention.

PG&E Corporation contributes operational wildfire mitigation experience through its regulated utility subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, including risk management practices and deployment strategies across geographically diverse service territories. Contributions from Pacific Gas and Electric Company remain subject to regulatory approval.

Salesforce provides the digital backbone for EMBERPOINT by integrating data streams into a real-time operational environment. Using Agentforce and Slack, the system enables coordinated communication and decision-making across multiple organizations during wildfire prevention and response operations.

Wells Fargo supports the venture through capital investment, enabling development and deployment of the integrated platform.

The launch addresses a growing national challenge as wildfires increase in frequency, intensity and geographic impact, placing greater strain on emergency services, utilities and public infrastructure. By combining sensing, automation and coordinated data-driven response, EMBERPOINT is intended to improve situational awareness, reduce response latency and enhance firefighter safety.

Initial system development and integration will continue over the coming months, with demonstration deployments targeted for 2026.
