IM-6500 is the new version of the IM series. Due to a better integration to the corporate network and with the processing software provided, it becomes possible to implement component traceability and a quality automated production management. Production drifts detection is thus immediately identifiable. The quality of measurement is also improved by new features.

The IM Series is a new type of measurement device. More than a profile projector, a measuring microscope or an automatic CNC measuring device, the dimensional measurement concept by imagery technology of the IM-6000 series is a new system with which it becomes possible to perform reliable measurements in a minimum of time and with an increased accuracy. You simply place the part to be calibrated, push the button and up to 99 dimensions are measured in a few seconds with accuracy down to 0.5 micron. No tiresome positioning, nor risks of measurement variance or deviation between the various operators. Finally, it is a cost saving alternative to traditional processes.

With this new sensor, Keyence makes vision sensors accessible to everyone. Affordable, quick start-up and easy to use: no need to be an expert. This new solution is highly reliable and covers virtually all vision sensors' needs, making it a beneficial alternative to one or more sensors when detection needs to follow a moving target.

Equipped with a unique E3 CMOS gloss compensation feature, this sensor offers a 300 times larger dynamic range of measurement than the market. It offers performances which up to now were impossible for compliance audits on complex surfaces such as rubber and metal surfaces, and those that mix the two materials. The performances are also unique: the range may be of 200 mm, repeatability of 1μm and sampling frequency of 3.8 ms.
