Machining large parts without reclamping: MMV 4200 / 5200 / 6200 travelling column machining centres

With the MMV 4200 / 5200 / 6200 models, EMCO introduces an extension to its MMV series, featuring enlarged travel paths (X= 4200 / 5200 / 6200) in response to increased demand in the travelling column machine segment. The machines with 3, 4 and 5 axes can be used for complete machining of very large and heavy parts in one clamping. The proven technology MMV 3200 has been kept in the new models: a high-performance motor spindle with 0 - 15,000 rpm speed range, 46 kW spindle power and up to 170 Nm torque. 40 tool pockets available as standard, optionally expandable up to 120 pockets. Thanks to the new modular system, customers do not have to choose between a smaller machine or one that is too large; variable sizes are possible up to 6,200 mm. The main difference between the MMV 4200 / 5200 and 6200 and the previous model is the X-axis drive, which uses a rack-and-pinion system instead of ball screws. This ensures dynamic, fast and precise feed during machining. The demand for these high-performance machines comes mainly from the petroleum industry, railroad industry and intralogistics.

Modular design for high-precision and dynamic machining: MAXXTURN 65 G2

The MAXXTURN 65 G2 has been completely redesigned. With its clever modular design, the machine offers a wide range of options for specific customer requirements. The high drive power of the main and counter spindles, combined with optimum torque characteristics, ensures economic efficiency in the machining of steel as well as in the high-speed machining of aluminium. 12 driven tools and a Y-axis ensure perfect results in complex milling and drilling operations. With numerous automation solutions and the EMCONNECT digital process assistant, the MAXXTURN 65 G2 is state-of-the-art and enables low-manpower production in operation.

Hyperturn 45 G3: Dynamic. Intelligent. Fully automated

The machine base and the slide geometry of the HYPERTURN 45 G3 have been redesigned to enlarge the working space and accommodate a wider turret clearance to allow the integration of a 16-station tool turret and a larger Y-axis stroke of +/- 40mm. The machine remains compact, and the 72° slant bed perfectly supports the ergonomic requirements and optimal chip flow. What is more, EMCO offers holistic solutions for the automation of machine tools, e.g. “Turn/Mill Assist”, a standardised automation solution and currently the most compact solution for loading and unloading EMCO turning and milling machines.

THE MAXXTURN 45: Best Performance – Best Price

Being a high-performance lathe the MAXXTURN 45 is a perfect solution for economic complete machining. It has just the right features to guarantee significant increases in productivity. Highly dynamic drive systems help to achieve this. The pleasant side effect: the required precision and rigidity for the production of complex turned and milled parts are also ensured.

UMILL 750: Simultaneous 5-axis machining at the highest level

As a logical consequence of successfully establishing the Umill 1800 and Umill 1500 on the market, EMCO is now enlarging its portfolio with the new Umill 750 - size X = 750 mm. The efficient vertical milling machine for simultaneous 5-axis machining with its compact design and low installation space requirements allows even large components to be machined. The use of European components guarantees users highest precision and surface quality.

EMCOTURN E45 and E65 equipped with Heidenhain's CNC Pilot 640 control

For more than 10 years, the E series has been successful on the market as an EMCO entry-level machine. In recent years, the range of models has been consequently expanded by further functionalities such as a counter-spindle and Y-axis. Today, it facilitates entry into the area of complete bar and chuck machining.

Extension of the Umill range around the new Umill 1500: New 5-axis milling center for the complete machining of complex workpieces up to 4,5 tons.

The development of the Umill is a result of many years of MECOF experience - since 1947 Mecof has been developing and manufacturing vertical portal milling machines and horizontal moving column machining centers in Italy. Just in time for the biggest trade show for machine tool manufacturing, EMCO MECOF will present the new model of the Umill Range – the new Umill 1500 - at the EMO in Hannover - a 5-axis milling center for the complete machining of complex workpieces in a single set-up, which demonstrates impressive performance figures and will be used in mold & dies, aerospace, precision general engineering and energy engineering. With the expansion of the Umill series, EMCO MECOF is responding to the demand for compact 5-axis machining centers with automation, which have a high performance, performance and accuracy.

MAXXMILL 750: New Compact Vertical Milling Centre for 5-Sided Machining

Based on its long-standing experience and customer-oriented philosophy, EMCO – in cooperation with the Italian subsidiary EMCO Famup – has expanded its MAXXMILL series and developed a high-performance vertical CNC milling centre for 5-sided machining: the new MAXXMILL 750. The compact and optimised machine structures as well as the technical adaptations enable users to machine complex and heavy workpieces with an edge length of 530 x 530 x 417 mm in just one setting - with efficient results in terms of surface quality and precision.

New Vertical Milling Machine for 5-Sided Machining

With the new MAXXMILL 630, EMCO customers can enjoy a flexible vertical CNC milling machine for 5-sided machining. Complex workpieces with an edge length of 445 x 445 x 290 mm can be efficiently and precisely machined in one setting. The compact machine structure and excellent value for money also support customers in making further advantageous savings.

HYPERTURN 100 Powermill – High Flexibility in Complex Complete Machining

Modular design for increased power and more possibilities: with a spindle distance of no more than 3,300 mm, a powerful main spindle and counter-spindle, a new drive concept, a B-axis with direct drive for complex simultaneous 5-axis machining and an additional lower turret system, the new Hyperturn 100 Powermill is the systematic further development of the tried and tested HYPERTURN POWERMILL series. It stands for precision, flexibility and productivity when it comes to the machining of large, complex workpieces in one setup.
