4-5 May 2022 - Eplan Virtual Fair: Collaboration is everything How can people collaborate better, work together more efficiently and remain competitive in the ecosystem of industrial automation? This year’s 2022 Eplan Virtual Fair gets to the bottom of these questions.
The free version of eManage allowed users to upload, share and manage EPLAN Platform projects in the cloud environment. Solutions provider EPLAN is now presenting the full version of the software, which offers considerably more added value: master data can be accessed in the cloud as can supplemen-tary documents, and performance is increased with additional capacity. Collaboration is at the heart of the application, which networks OEMs, system integrators, machine builders and operators.
Selecting appropriate product data in engineering is often time consuming. However, the new EPLAN Data Portal, with a new user interface and improved search algorithms, makes it easier and faster than ever before. Expanded search parameters mean that users can quickly find exactly the components they are looking for. Individualised solutions based on configurators can be intuitively generated – as demonstrated by the Lenze product configurator.
At the Hannover Messe Digital Edition, solutions provider Eplan will be presenting a first look at the coming Eplan Platform, being launched in summer. A completely new user interface with ribbon technology and dark mode is in tune with current software trends and further ensures ease of use. The new 2D graphic module and central device management provide optimum performance. And yet another practical plus: the cloud service Eplan eManage ensures integrated engineering with the combination of on-premise and cloud. The changeover to the new subscription model will make the use of the software even more flexible.
The industrial transformation is in full swing. As a result, the market conditions are changing and EPLAN is consistently adapting to these changes. As of August 2021, new software licenses will be offered exclusively on a subscription basis which will allow more flexibility for companies.
Last year EPLAN, the software and solutions provider, welcomed over 1,400 attendees from 73 countries to its international Virtual Fair. Impressive figures - especially in times before such virtual platforms had become the standard. This year the interest in new, innovative “Leadership Talks”, practice-oriented webcasts and worldwide chats to facilitate talking shop with other users is likely to increase.
The newest version of EPLAN Data Portal, which provides users with component and device data for design engineering over the web, was released in early June 2020. The Portal is now exclusively integrated into the EPLAN ePulse cloud environment. Electrical engineers and fluid design engineers select the device data they need and can transfer it directly into their EPLAN Projects, reducing the efforts needed for design engineering and ensuring standardized data for documentation. A completely new user interface with an intuitive search and smart suggestion function makes using the Portal easier, faster and more convenient than ever.
