FANUC Showcases CRX Cobots at The Battery Show North America
FANUC, the global leader in CNCs, robotics and ROBOMACHINEs will demonstrate its popular line of CRX collaborative robots at The Battery Show North America in Novi, Mich., Sept. 13-15, booth #2626.
FANUC’s CRX cobots are extremely robust and able to run for up to eight years without maintenance. Interactive programming enables users to teach points using hand guidance or a tablet interface with drag and drop icons. Following the success of the CRX-10iA and CRX-10iA/L, three new models were introduced this year including the CRX-5iA, CRX-20iA/L and CRX-25iA. The expanding cobot series can handle products from 5kg to 25kg and reach capabilities from 994mm to 1,889mm.
There are now 11 FANUC CR and CRX cobot models available to help the battery, EV and other industries with production applications such as inspection, machine load/unload, packing, palletizing, sanding, welding, and many more.
At the show, a FANUC CRX-10iA will provide attendees the opportunity to try the cobot’s intuitive hand guidance and easy-to-use tablet programming.
In a second demonstration, a CRX-10iA/L will use AI Error Proofing to inspect for the presence/absence of components on steering wheels. FANUC’s AI Error Proofing is a function in iRVision® designed for part inspection that uses machine-learning technology. The CRX-10iA/L equipped with a robot-mounted camera will inspect two steering wheels to determine passed or failed samples. The steering wheels will be fixed to a table but can be rotated by an operator to show that the robot is able to inspect non-fixtured parts.
