Softing Industrial introduces smartLink SW-HT – a HART multiplexer software for accessing configuration and diagnostic data via Emerson's AMS Device Manager or other HART IP-enabled plant asset management applications. Version 1.10 supports Allen-Bradley controllers and remote I/Os in addition to Schneider Electric M580 controllers and drop I/Os.

Softing adds to its Docker technology-based edgeConnector product family. The new edgeConnector Modbus is a flexible Docker container application for Modbus TCP controllers.

smartLink HW-DP from Softing Industrial Automation provides controller-independent access to PROFIBUS DP networks. Besides HART IP and FDT, data for optimizing processes can now also be made available via an OPC UA interface. In addition, the new smartLink DTM enables FDT/DTM parameter setting for HART devices.

Softing Industrial launches an AWS Quick Start for its edgeConnector Siemens docker container application, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The Quick Start automatically deploys edgeConnector Siemens and AWS IoT SiteWise in the AWS cloud. It demonstrates how to connect Siemens PLCs to the AWS cloud in a secure and scalable way.

Softing expands its dataFEED edgeConnector product family which is based on Docker technology. The new edgeConnector 840D container supports easy access to data from SINUMERIK 840D controllers and makes it available on edge devices or virtual environments via OPC UA and MQTT. This enables flexible integration of local OPC UA clients and MQTT brokers in a cloud environment and the Industrial IoT.

The new version V5.10 of Softing's dataFEED OPC Suite Extended offers MQTT subscriber functionality and extensive options for data preprocessing.

Softing Industrial releases version v1.20 of edgeConnector Siemens. The software module is based on container technology and connects Siemens controllers with industrial IoT applications. In addition to SIMATIC S7-1200 and S7-1500, the new version also supports SIMATIC S7-300/400 controllers.

Version 1.31 uaToolkit Embedded adds metadata and discovery annoucements to OPC UA field devices which eliminates the need for preset information in the subscriber.
