Verlinde has added a heavy loads version to its range of new generation STAGEMAKER SR hoists. With its one-metric ton lifting capacity, StagemakerSR10 is ideal for the handling of grids and scenographic equipment of large capacity. STAGEMAKER SR hoists are the only ones on the market to be equipped as standard with double brake, special CHAINFlux ® chain guide, patented Perfect Push ® hoist load wheel, retractable carrying grips and protective rubber coating where necessary. The Stagemaker SR range thus offers the most appropriate model for a specific application. SR2 for loads to 250kg, SR5 to 500kg and now the SR10 for loads to 1000kg.
Verlinde participated in the Cranes Fair in Moscow from 19 to 21 June 2013 with the aim of marketing its whole range of lifting equipment and products for industry on a local basis.
Belgium Metal, backed by 20 years of operations in the steel frame and boiler market, moved to brand new premises in 2011 on the Plenesses Industrial Zone at Thimisther-Clermont in Liege province, Eastern Belgium. The company has a well-filled order book due to the much varied industrial potential of Wallonia and has now started operations in Northern France, Luxemburg and Flanders. Verlinde overhead cranes working in Belgium Metal workshops contribute significantly to manufacturing efficacy.
Dubai-based V.V. & Sons LLC will be an official distributor of Verlinde's STAGEMAKER brand of electric chain hoists for the entertainment industry and particularly the STAGEMAKER SR, the latest addition to the brand.
Boasting an entirely new ergonomic design, STAGEMAKER SR is the only model available on the market as standard fitted with a double brake system, CHAINFlux ® special chain guide, Perfect Push ® patented hoist load wheel, retractable handgrips and protective rubber pads. STAGEMAKER SR fits in well with all types of installation offering best-in-class safety and productivity.
The millions of passengers who use the Parisian and suburban public transport system daily will tell you that electricity is the driving force behind the system, but nearly everyone is unaware of the technical challenge of ensuring the continued supply of power to the network 24 hours a day, every day of the year. According to RATP* records there has never been a general power cut in the Paris Metro.
The large 1960's RATP*building houses one of four high voltage stations that, through a network system with seven other stations, provides the electrical power not only for the Metro, RER and tram systems but also for RATP*offices and workshops.
As one of RATP's basic rules is to provide a secure energy supply, two EDF supplies of 63,000 V are fed to the High Voltage circuit breakers at the Lamarck station. Both inputs supply a transformer to reduce the voltage to 15000V which, after being routed through the rectifiers, supply 1500V DC to feed the RER network and 750V DC for the tram and Metro networks. The two transformers, the circuit breakers and rectifiers have strategic roles to play in running the RER, tram and Metro networks. To back up this power supply system, a 1,500 kW electricity generator is ready to start at any time. This power supply ensures current is fed to safety equipment, escalators and lighting in the event of large-scale power failures. The electricity generator, an important backup power system, must be frequently started up to ensure its serviceability.
Veteran polar explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, will take on one of the last remaining polar challenges by attempting to cross Antarctica in winter – the coldest journey on Earth – with five colleagues. Verlinde manual hoists and winches are part of the trip.
As part of its installations modernisation programme, SHEM (Société Hydro-Electrique du Midi) has placed an order with MEIJE, an integrator in the EUROPONT network, for a gantry crane to handle hydroelectric turbines at the CAPDENAC plant in the South of France.
