With the acquisition of Microset GmbH, the HAIMER Group has become a complete system provider for tool management around the machine tool. The Microset tool presetting devices meet the high quality standards of HAIMER and cover the needs of almost all machine operators.
Igenhausen 26th January 2017 - The cooperative partnership between the HAIMER Group and DMG MORI has been further strengthened. Both companies signed a cooperation agreement which sets the standards for a premium partnership of HAIMER products. Furthermore, on the 1st of January 2017, HAIMER acquired the DMG MORI Microset GmbH company, which is now operating under the name HAIMER Microset GmbH.
The importance of the tool holder is still understated, especially when it comes to roughing and heavy dutymachining. Metal removal rates in these types of processes are absolutely crucial for the productivity of the machining operation. By using special shrink fit chucks with drive pins and spiral grooves in the tool shank it is now possible to performhigh-feed full slotting of up to 2 x D (50 mm) or more indifficult to machine materials.
